This survey collects responses from healthcare professionals, service users, and carers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All responses are fully anonymous<\/strong>, and no identifiable personal data is collected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participation is voluntary<\/strong>, and respondents may exit at any time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This study involves non-interventional, low-risk data collection<\/strong> and is conducted in line with accepted ethical standards for anonymous survey research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As no patient-identifiable information is collected, formal NHS Research Ethics Committee approval was not required<\/strong>.

This audit follows the publication of our March 2026 BMJ paper, which identified a critical disconnect between policy and frontline capacity. While the data below shows the historical decline in physical beds, our current study measures the impact on staff and patient safety today. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
